I’m looking at ifixit’s step by step and wonder where this resistor resides. https://www.ifixit.com/Guide/MacBook+Pro+15-inch+Unibody+Early+2011+Board+Replacement/5899 There appears to be two boards surrounding the fans. Which one, and which step should I stop to extract this resistor? Also, how to confirm that this board is correct? thx, sam February 6, 2018 at 3:51 pm #1773 Adam – RealMacModsKeymaster you wont actually need to remove the board. it can be done in case with the bottom cover removed. If you are unsure of the resistor, send me a nice clear photo of the board near the fans and i will outline it for you.
